DMX-512 Protocol - Quick Highlights

BUS: RS485 : 250,000 Baud (Non Standard Baud Rate)
BUS Devices: 512 Devices (Typical - Supports up to 255 Slave BUS devices, using a single master -> multiple slaves topology)
Error Detection: No
Encryption Support: No
Device Capability Reporting: No
Primary Use: Lighting Control (Lighting brightness control via an unsigned byte - 8 Bits)

Coloured Light Support
Coloured lights (Such as RGB and RGBW bulbs) will consume 3 / 4 BUS device IDs respectively, to allow for the individual dimming of the Red, Green, Blue and optional White colour channels.
For non RGB lights with colour temperature control, a second bus device ID is consumed to allow for the colour temperature selection (Cold to Warm light).

Fan Control Support
Compatible fans are available for the DMX-512 protocol, whereby the unsigned Byte is used to determine the fan speed, with 0=Off and 255=Maximum Speed.
